I have been with Sudhir on many Photo tours. As a Woman traveller, I find Sudhir’s Photo tours extremely safe and professional. The stay is very comfortable. The drivers and guides that cater to our safari tours are very knowledgable and know the forests and its animals well. The drivers and Guides are chosen by Sudhir personally to ensure the best experience to his tour participants. The Tours are well organised and adhere to all the norms of the wildlife tours. All care is taken to ensure that the participants respect the forests and the animals.

 

During the tour, Sudhir provides a one on one mentoring to the participants in his Vehicle. This mentoring is very valuable and has helped me in improving my skills. There are knowledge sharing sessions that are held post the morning and evening sessions, where Sudhir takes us through concepts in photography and critiques the pictures taken by us during the tour. I have been with Sudhir on the Bhandavgarh and Ranthambore tours on many occasions and the learning has been immense.

Sudhir’s photo tours are very carefully designed with a perfect balance of both theoretical and practical aspects of photography. The workshops are very interactive and Sudhir is always available to answer the questions patiently from the participants. He ensures that he accompanies all the participants equally during the safaris. To ensure best sightings and photo opportunities, Sudhir engages the best and most experienced drivers and guides at the parks.

 

During the intensive workshops he ensures there is enough comfort and fun in the learning process. Sudhir is very particular with the choice of hotels. Accommodations are arranged in nice hotels which provide comfortable stay and good homely food which is a must at the end of a hectic day of safari.

 

I am also a subscriber to the video tutorials. The tutorials are quite extensive and covers almost all the aspects of photography. Subscription to the video tutorials gives one access to the SSP community facebook page where one can post photographs for review and critique not only by Sudhir but also by fellow group members. The SSP community FB page is a great forum which brings many like minded photographers together and encourages peer learning.

Sudhir brings a very effective blend of passion and skills to the table and helps you uncover new facets of yourself in every session. His understanding that there really is no magical “one size fits all” approach to teaching enables him to adapt and switch gears as required to get the results you are after.

 

Sudhir has been an invaluable asset in helping me nurture my understanding of wildlife and photography skills, especially given that I am just a couple of months old in this field and taking my baby steps. His insightful, honest, and engaging style created a very open, safe environment for me to challenge and stretch myself beyond what I had envisioned on my own. Sudhir is a truly a catalyst!

Sudhir’s teaching has exposed a wide angled knowledge about photography which I thought initially, that finding a subject is the challenge in photography, but realised that the ultimate challenge starts when we start fiddling with the camera in front of the subject. The concept of metering,exposure, colours, post processing was fine tuned and was priceless.

 

It was out of the world experience for me and I can confidently say that the guru of teaching photography was immaculate, meticulous and precise in teaching the tips that at no point of time he was hesitant to clear any our doubts. I salute Sudhir for putting all his experience and knowledge into his teaching and making his pupils understand the concepts.
