    Hi Vikram,

If it’s your own TC, then do carry it. But may not be of much help. You cannot use a tripod in the vehicle, but a monopod can be used. I would not recommend changing lens in the vehicle as there may be dust and chances of getting in sensor is high.

The sightings have been good. Make sure to spend at least 3 nights with 6 safaris for good opportunities.

    Have a great time.

    Dear Nirmal,

It depends on the camera model as Canon / Nikon / Sony behave differently regarding the exposure compensation when shot in Manual mode. That said, yes, it does come into play where it indicates if you are over exposing or underexposing the scene based on the metering mode being used.

    Hello Devesh,

I generally always shoot at the lowest f number supported by the lens as that’s good enough for majority of the shoots. But when I need a larger Depth of field and it’s feasible given the circumstances, then I increase the f number based on the calculations.

Regarding your second question, please do check the DoF course where I have explained in detail on the factors affecting depth of field and how to use the DoF calculator. That will help you answer that question on Tiger head on.

    Hi Anand,

A UV filter is another glass element which comes in the way of the light and there will be diffraction / refraction and reflection of light due to the glass element. And that impacts image quality. And UV filter has no role in digital photography as the sole purpose of that has been implemented on the sensor itself.

    Hi Devesh,

A warm welcome to SSP learning platform.

I would advice you to go for the 400mm f2.8 as it’s primarily wildlife (mammals) photography you plan to do.

Also it will be good to get rid of the 80D and go for a full frame camera.

Used prime lens recommendation is not easy as it depends on a lot of factors on the lens usage.

You need a 2.8 lens for low light faster focusing.

Cost of price lens will never come down even if RF lenses are released.

TC is not something I would recommend as it kills the quality.

Let me know if you have any other queries.
