    Hi Ankur,

For the monthly theme since I am the judge, I will not be able to help you shortlist. In that case everyone will have similar request and the purpose of the competition will be defeated if I help you shortlist even before the competition.

    Hello Jyothi Gupta,

The D5200 with the 50mm standard lens is good enough to learn the concepts. I would highly recommend you to go through the basics and advanced fundamentals of photography course to get started with.

The audio being muted on own is a browser setting. I would recommend you to use a different browser or disable that setting.

    Dear Mj Rahman,

Welcome to SSP learning platform. If it’s a new cam, then I would recommend the Sony Alpha series + Sony 200-600 based on your budget.

The plates are universal plates and it should fit. Generally they have the additional brush crew to fit the lens. I use a different fluid head from Sachtler and so no experience of these.

Those images which you see is shot in the field. You need to understand about depth of field. Please watch the course “Blurred out of focus background” to know how to get such shots.

When you buy a tripod for wildlife or bird photography ensure that it does not have a centre column and it needs to support at least 3 times the weight of the equipment. Make sure to check the tripod load bearing capacity. Instead of a ball head I would recommend the fluid head. You can do some research on these points based on your budget.

That said, yes the one you have selected looks good, but no personal experience with it.

Depending on the budget you can go for the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens.

    Hi Sid,

That’s the limitation of the dynamic range supported by the camera. In the same scene if you have exposure values beyond 3-4 stops between the extreme range, then one of those will get compromised. That is where HDR comes into picture where you take multiple exposures of the same scene and then digital create the HDR image. Of course this is tough in birds and wildlife and you need to have the same frame for all images.

    Hi Siddharth,

This is generally used in product / portfolio or any genre which is shot under controlled situation where there is constant light source. They include a grey card in the 1st sample frame and later in post processing the set the RGB value of that grey card to 128,128,128 which in turn ensures that all colours are represented appropriately. Then they use those values to all other images shot in that light.

I would recommend a fluid head compared to gimbal or ball head.
